One of the terrific benefits of ACC membership is direct access to decision makers – those who craft the policies and rules in which our members must become experts. On June 6, 2013, ACC Advocacy and the Employment and Labor Law Committee sponsored a meeting for ACC members with Commissioners Victoria Lipnic and Chai Feldblum of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
ACC members met in Washington at EEOC headquarters to discuss background checks, ADA compliance, LGBT issues, wellness programs, and conciliation among other critical policy issues. The event was highly valuable for ACC members. It was valuable as well for the Commissioners, who used the meeting to get practical feedback on how EEOC rules work in practice and where greater clarity could be helpful.
