ACC Defends Attorney Client Privilege in Amicus to PA Supreme Court

In Gillard v. AIG, in an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to reverse a January 4, 2008 Superior Court decision which severely constricts the attorney client privilege in Pennsylvania, ACC also requests a clear statement from the court “that communications made within the lawyer/client relationship are privileged when made for the very purpose of soliciting or providing legal advice.”

The Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Allegheny Bar Association, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce joined ACC in this amicus brief.
